Jarltech’s touch screen system 8650 sets new standards in the field of touch screens for the POS: Just connect the device to any PC and enjoy highest but hardware independent performance. This is be­cause you can upgrade your PC anytime to the current state-of-the-art without even touching cash desk specific hardware. The system is available in two versions with different features. The compact and robust console housing features a 12“-TFT touchscreen, and optionally a magnetic stripe reader and a customer display. Except the PC itself, all cash desk hardware is elegantly and neatly combined in a single housing. Connection to any commercially available PC is then just a matter of seconds. The 8650 is also suitable for multimedia applications or information terminals that can be set up even under limitations of space and without external accessories. A provided steel stand always puts the device into the best angle for the user. This makes it easy to adjust the angle to individual requirements of the user and the TFT display is visible even at poor lighting conditions. The entry level version includes a 12“-TFT touchscreen that is connected to a common VGA output of any PC. In its high-end version, it includes not only a TFT display but also an LCD customer display (2x20 character display facing the customer on the backside) and an integrated slot mag­netic stripe reader for EC, credit and customer cards. The customer display is connected over the serial interface to your PC. The card reader transmits read card data over a keyboard wedge or serial interface.
